Gianluca is the Group CFO at Al Dahra Holding, a global agricultural company headquartered in the UAE, where he also holds several board positions for the business units in Europe, USA and UAE.
Gianluca has over 25 years of extensive international experience in the Oil & Gas, FMCG and agricultural sectors, together with a proven track record related to joint ventures, international expansions and M&A in America, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.
He holds a bachelors and master’s degree in Financial and Industrial Engineering from Bologna Alma Mater University. Gianluca’s career began in the Oil & Gas industry, at ENI, with several assignments in Europe and Africa, before he joined Heinz where he built and led audit and finance teams in Milan, Melbourne, London and Dubai for 17 years.
Whether in relation to evaluating massive energy projects or bringing food to the most remote areas of Africa and Asia, it has been Gianluca’s consistent drive and mission, throughout his career, to deliver not only a benefit to the company’s shareholders but also to all of the communities involved or touched by those corporate activities.
Understanding the full economic, financial, environmental and social impact of a company’s activity can only be successfully achieved by bringing expert knowledge together with the ability to build long term transparent relationships between the various stakeholders: including governments, banks, shareholders, suppliers, customers and local communities.
