Aleksandar Kostić

Aleksandar Kostić is the Vice President of MK Group and AEC Banking Group. During the past years, he strategically led the development and expansion of both groups, including new investments, M&A processes, as well as business consolidation. His areas of expertise include investment and business strategy, financial management, portfolio and asset management and banking.
In the previous five years, he expanded MK Group’s operations to the real-estate sector with projects in the entire Adria region, continued intensive investment in renewable energy sources and strengthened the company’s position in the agri-food sector. Today, MK Group is one of the leading investment companies in Southeast Europe. Aleksandar Kostić strategically supports MK Group’s new investment cycle and capital projects in which over 1.6 billion euros will be invested in the period from 2023 to 2025.
He is also focused on the expansion of the AEC Banking Group. Further plans include business development both in the region and on the EU banking market, where the group has been present since the acquisition of Gorenjska banka in Slovenia. AIK Bank completed the acquisition of Sber banka in Serbia in 2022, and this year it signed a purchase agreement with Eurobank Direktna, by which realization it would become the second largest bank on the Serbian market.
In MK Group and AEC Banking Group, Aleksandar Kostić, as Vice President, deals with strategic goals, investment policy and business policy with a special emphasis on risk management.
Aleksandar Kostić graduated in Economics from Royal Holloway University in London and is the father of two children.
