Jelena is a creative strategist with ability to deliver the whole package – from seeing a big picture but also small details, understanding context, to envisioning the idea and working on its execution. All this supported with the mix of skills and experiences ranging from communications, marketing, financial advisory, management, business development, event management, consulting, project management.
Jelena is among other projects, currently engaged as an advisor to the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce on aspects and projects of regional economic cooperation in the Balkans (Open Balkan, Berlin Process, etc.). She os one of the initiators and creators of the SUMMIT100 Business Leaders or Southeast Europe. She served as Advisor for Strategy, Program Development and Communications in the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (2014-2017) and co-founded and served as partner at Alba Partners, M&A advisory firm based in Belgrade (2007-2014).
Prior to Alba Partners, she was CEO of Ekonomist Media Group, publisher of Ekonomist Magazine and organizer of economic and business forums and conferences for C-level management from Serbia and the region. Jelena was a member of the Board of the Serbian Association of Managers (2012-2014). She was formerly a partner at Altis Capital and worked at CES Mecon, both corporate finance boutiques based in Belgrade.
She also served as a communications advisor in the Office of Communications and Office of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, Government of Serbia (2001-2013) and to the Serbian Minister of Economy and Privatization (2003-2004). Jelena started her professional career at Bloomberg News, covering Serbia and the region. She received her B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Belgrade.
